MELBOURNE - Fiesta Azteca is expanding.

The local family-owned restaurant, known for its delicious Mexican meals, low prices and friendly atmosphere, recently opened a new location on Wickham Road in the Suntree area.

This means residents can now try authentic Mexican cuisine at four Fiesta Azteca locations in Brevard County. Restaurants also are located at 850 N. Wickham Road in Melbourne, in the Winn Dixie shopping plaza on West New Haven Avenue, and on Highway A1A in Cape Canaveral.

With the new location comes the same appetizing menu customers have come to expect from owners Sergio Romero and brothers Nestor and Francisco Martinez.

Favorites such as tacos, tostadas, burritos, enchiladas, tamales, chimichangas, fajitas, and chalupas are all served for a very reasonable price. There also are tasty dessert options, including traditional flan and savory fried banana cheesecake.

However, the food is not the only reason to visit Fiesta Azteca.

According to Romero, the specialty is “our margaritas, of course.”

Guests can choose from eight different varieties, including the restaurant’s house margarita, aptly named the “Fiesta Rita.”

Although one may find a taco in many places around town, Fiesta Azteca is much more than the typical Mexican restaurant.

“Everything here is really authentic,” said Romero, a native of Mexico.

“The rice, the beans… it’s the real food, and everything is made fresh every day,” he said.
